Karen Silva, new Office Supervisor in the Department of English main office, began her duties in December 2007. She has been with ASU for almost four years as Administrative Assistant at Fletcher Library, at the West campus, and in Human Resources, at the Tempe campus. She loves working with people, thrives on challenges and enjoys learning new things. Prior to ASU, Karen worked for three years at KVIE, PBS-TV, in Sacramento, California. There she enjoyed coordinating staffing and volunteers for Pledge Drives and assisting with technical aspects (lighting, sets, etc.). Prior to that, she served as site photographer, and tour guide, at Biosphere 2 (the giant terrarium-type enclosure that housed 8 people for two years), near Tucson.
