Laura Cruser was born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina. She received an MFA in Creative Writing from Arizona State University in December 2005, and is currently an instructor in the English Department at ASU. She has taught writing to elementary, middle, and high school students through grants from the Arizona Commission on the Arts, and ASU’s Young Writers Program and Programs for Talented Youth. She is a former poetry editor for Hayden’s Ferry Review, and is a co-founder of the Visual Text Project, a collaborative endeavor that brings together graduate students from different artistic disciplines at ASU.
