George and Collice Portnoff Endowed Fellowship in Comparative Literature

The Department of English Admissions and Selection Committee for Comparative Literature is seeking applications and/or nominations for the inaugural George and Collice Portnoff Endowed Fellowship for 2004-05. Students will be considered in the spring prior to being selected to receive the fellowship in the following academic year. A recipient of the fellowship will be referred to as the Portnoff Fellow in the Department of English at Arizona State University. In order to be considered, students must be full-time master’s or doctoral degree students working in two literatures in the original languages, not including English, and have a 3.2 or higher cumulative grade point average. If you are interested in applying, please contact the Director of Comparative Literature or Sheila Luna with a one-page letter of interest and transcripts of undergraduate and graduate coursework.
