The Katharine Turner Dissertation Fellowship is designed to enable doctoral candidates to finish writing their dissertations. The fellowship is for two semesters. The recipient will receive a cash award and will not be required to teach. Those who are not currently TAs are also eligible to apply. Applicants who want to be considered for the 2008/09 Katharine Turner Dissertation Fellowship should state in their letter of application a work plan for the proposed year of support and include a curriculum vita. Applicants should ask the chair of their dissertation committee to write a letter of support that will address the applicant's strengths and potential to complete the dissertation in a timely manner. Applications should be addressed to Robert Sturges and delivered to Sheila Luna by April 4, 2008. Results of the competition will be announced in May.
