Callaloo. In their own words: "the premier African and African-American literary journal, publishes works by and critical studies of black writers worldwide. National Association of Black Journalists. The association describes itself as "the largest media organization for people of color in the world." Their mission is "to strengthen ties among African-American journalists, promote diversity in newsrooms, honor excellence and outstanding achievement in the media industry, expand job opportunities and recruiting activities for established African-American journalists and students interested in the journalism field, and expand and balance the media's coverage of the African-American community and experience." UNITY: Journalists of Color. This group "is a strategic alliance of journalists of color acting as a force for positive change to advance their presence, growth and leadership in the fast-changing global news industry. Members of the charitable association include the Asian American Journalists Association, National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and Native American Journalists Association."

African American Resources. Though this is compiled by Chico High School Library in California, don't be fooled. This is a wide-ranging and interesting collection of links, and includes the Black History Database, the Encyclopaedia Britannica Guide to Black History, the Timeline of the American Civil Rights Movement, and much more. It also includes many sites on writers and writing. Digital Librarian: African-Americans. This is a truly exhaustive site on everything African American on the Internet. The entries are alphabetical, but you can use your browser to search for key words.
