Internship Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2008 semester.

Be part of a talented pool of students producing the Department of English's student-run magazine by signing up for a Marooned Internship.

Marooned is a general-interest magazine, written, managed, and produced by students earning Internship credit. English majors who want to earn upper-division elective credits while learning first-hand the ins and outs of publishing a magazine are encouraged to apply.

Applications accepted until July 15, 2008.

The magazine crew is looking for talented writers, editors, artists, graphic designers, production and advertising specialists. Learn how to:

  • plan content
  • schedule production
  • arrange for copyrights
  • edit technical and creative writing by students
  • work with artists
  • coordinate printing and distribution
  • solicit advertising and community support
  • and much more
