Minors and Certificates Available to English Majors

ASU Minors | ASU Certificates
Non-ASU Options

Descriptions for all of the ASU offered minors and certificates are also in the ASU catalog. Talk to an advisor in the department of the minor/certificate for specific requirements.

To post a minor/certificate to your DARS (degree audit report), talk to one of the English Department Advisors.

With certain certificates (not all), classes can be doubled so that a single class could meet a requirement in the major field as well as the certificate. However, this is NOT an option with minors and majors.

ASU Minors

A comprehensive listing of all of the ASU offered minors is kept in the ASU catalog, offered both as print or web versions.

For a description of an ASU minor, go to the appropriate department within the catalog. If you are unsure which department offers the minor, look on the ASU minors list.

Also, check the curriculum checksheets for exact requirements for the minor. Once more, you need to know which department offers the minor. Look on the ASU minors list to get this information.

Finally, talk with an advisor in the appropriate department for all important details. Also, talk with an English advisor for the minor's compatability with an English degree, and to have the minor posted to your DARS.
