Computing Services

There are several computing sites on campus. To access the computers and electronic equipment within the ASU computer sites, student must have a computer account with ASU. You may obtain an account at the Computer Accounts Office in the Computing Commons, Rm. 105, (480) 965-1211. At the Computer Accounts Office you may also open an e-mail account with ASU.As soon as you have an e-mail address, join the Undergraduate English Distribution List. You'll recieve valuable information about on- and off-campus opportunities. Students with ASU e-mail accounts, but who prefer to use their other e-mail accounts may have mail from their ASU account fowarded to the other at the Electronic Post Office.

Writing Center

The Writing Center, LL 340, provides assistance to students who want to improve their writing skills. A staff of experienced composition teachers and tutors provides individual tutorials and group workshops on all phases of the composition process. Instructional specialists see students by appointment. Peer tutoring assistance for ENG 101 and 102 students is available on a drop-in basis. Hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday (when school is in session). Call (480) 965-4272.The Writing Center has also expanded to additional sites, with daily and drop-in tutoring hours in the Engineering Building (ECF 102A), (480) 727-6074, and the Computing Commons (CC 202), (480) 965-1211. Also, further tutoring is available through the Learning Resource Center.
