for Equivalency of First-Year Composition Requirements
English majors who fall into certain categories must see an advisor and receive on-line clearance before they will be permitted to register or pre-register. The Mandatory Advisement categories include the following:
Pre-registration takes place shortly after the middle of each semester and enables you to register in advance for the coming semester. You can fill out a pre-registration form or pre-register on-line. If at all possible, you should register during this early registration period. Classes fill up quickly, especially required classes, and pre-registration helps guarantee that you get the classes you need, particularly since departments use enrollment figures during pre-registration to determine whether additional sections of classes will be required. You can pick up registration forms on-line or in SS 111. For fall and spring semesters, you can also register and drop/add courses during the period that extends from approximately one month after pre-registration through the first week school is in session.
Incoming freshmen who have composite ACT or SAT test scores of better than 29 or 1300, respectively, or who meet other criteria; transfer students; or those already enrolled at ASU with a GPA of better than 3.25 are eligible for admission to the University Honors College. Honors students, in addition to graduating with honors from ASU, accept certain responsibilities and enjoy various privileges not available to non-Honors students. More detailed information about Honors at ASU can be obtained from the University Honors College. |
