Welcome to the Students Section!

Here is a brief list of some of the current activities available to students of Slavic languages at ASU. More info will be coming shortly, so please check back.

For students of Russian language, or for those who would just like a little more practice, there are several opportunities each week at ASU Main Campus to speak and learn this wonderful language. One-on-one conversational practice and help with grammer and answers to questions about Russian life and culture, are offered free of charge by advanced Russian speakers at regular times throughout the academic year. Check back here once the semester is underway for the schedule.

In addition, Russian speakers of all levels and backgrounds (beginning through advanced levels, as well as native speakers) are welcome to join an informal conversation session led by Zhanna (Jeanette Owen) on Fridays from. 9:20-10:40. You can come by anytime and stay for as long as you like. These informal sessions take place at Charlie's cafe on level two of the Architecture building.

On Tuesdays Russian speakers gather at the Maricopa Cafe (2nd floor of MU) for conversation practice. You can bring your own lunch, make use of the cafe's offerings, or just come and join us at the table.

We hope that you will stop by and join us.
