TOTAL FOR MAJOR AND RELATED FIELDS | (45) | NOTES FOR MAJOR: * A grade of C or better must be achieved in all courses to be counted toward the major and related fields. * A minimum of 12 upper-division hours in the major must be taken in residence at ASU Main. * Pass/Fail courses cannot be used for the major or related courses. * RUS 201 and 202 are not applicable to the major. * Russian majors are encouraged to take related Slavic/East European language courses in the annual summer Critical Languages Institute (CLI). CLI courses may be applied toward the related field requirement. * For Honors College students, RUS 493 Honors Thesis may replace the RUS/SLV 498 Senior Seminar requirement. * Heritage Speakers and other advanced speakers of Russian will, with permission of the Slavic Section head, be admitted to an alternative track that includes RUS 495 Russian for Heritage Speakers for completion of the major.
