Professor Hiroko Kataoka's Session at SWCOLT/AZLA

Dear All,

I am delighted to announce that the AATJ Session at the SWCOLT (Southwest Conference on Language Teaching) /AZLA (Arizona Language Association) Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, April 7, 2006, will be about the new AP (Advanced Placement) Japanese Language and Culture.

The AATJ Invited speaker is Dr. Hiroko Kataoaka, Professor in Japanese, California State University, Long Beach. Everyone is welcome to attend. The session abstracts and outline:
This session will introduce the new AP Japanese Language and Culture program and related issues, such as content, benefits, challenges, and preparations. The session will also take up such topics as professional development and articulation between secondary and college level Japanese programs.
