2nd Nasonia Genome Annotation and Assembly Meeting
Workshop
May 31 (1 p.m.) – June 2nd (3 p.m.), 2007
At Center for Social Dynamics and Complexity, ASU
This workshop brings together researchers from the Baylor College of Medicine, Human Genome Sequencing Center, which have sequenced the genomes of three parasitoid wasps (Nasonia vitripennis, N. giraulti and N. longicornis) and individual researchers from the US and overseas using these publicly available genome sequences to annotate genes and gene families of their interest.
The goals of this workshop are:- Provide an overview over the ongoing research in Nasonia connected with the genome sequence.
- Discuss, streamline and organize the annotation and assembly process of the Nasonia genome, including hands on presentations and demonstrations of software and web resources.
- Develop strategies for a NasoniaBase server and future publication and research strategies.
