Edward T. Palazzolo (Ph.D., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2003) recently joined the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication as an assistant professor. He is actively involved in the Consortium for Strategic Communication and the Conflict Transformation Project strategic initiatives of the HDSHC.
Palazzolo’s research focuses on information and knowledge management through social networks. He primarily looks how people learn who knows what and how they access that knowledge when needed. He explores communication and knowledge networks and their impact on team performance in organizational settings.
He currently is applying his knowledge of information sharing in organizations, social networks, multilevel modeling, and computational modeling of communication phenomena to understand better the challenges associated with information transfer.
