The graduate program in rhetoric and public communication at ASU focuses on understanding issues at the social level, including popular culture, social movements, and political communication.

The Hugh Downs School of Human Communication is recognized internationally for scholarly excellence. It is the largest department in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, located on the campus of Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona.
