Conference Room & Library

The Center has a conference room which is open to students, faculty, and the public. Daily newspapers are available, as well as general interest magazines, scholarly journals, government publications, and official documents from Asian countries. The Center also houses its monograph series and a small library focusing primarily on China, Japan, Sino-Soviet affairs, and Korea.

Arizona State University houses numerous Asian resources, including an extensive Asian collection located in Hayden Library. There are over 75,000 volumes in Chinese and Japanese and over 55,000 volumes about China and Japan. Hayden Libary also has a special collection in manuscript form of papers of American journalists who covered Asia. These include Agnes Smedley, McCracken Fisher, and A.T. Steele. These collections have been indexed and are available to qualified researchers.
