The editors, John P. Rosa and Melody M. Miyamoto, originally compiled this bibliography to give visibility to scholarship on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the Southwest.

Our colleagues from other institutions across the country were curious about the historical and contem-porary experiences of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Arizona. It seemed that our colleagues (perhaps startled by the one-hundred-degree heat) were continually asking, “Asian Americans? And Pacific Islanders? In Arizona?”

We hope this bibliography provides resources for some partial answers to these questions.
