APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE

Walk in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-12.
Additional times available Monday-Thursday by appointment.

Mandatory advising is required for all newly admitted students, freshmen students (up to 24 credits), readmitted students and students on academic probation in AIS. Pre-Registration for Spring of 2007 is October 23-31.  Please call to schedule an appointment if you need to see your advisor.

If you plan to enroll in an Individualized Study, please call Sara.  If you plan to enroll in an Internship please call the AIS office and ask for Terri.

ADVISING

Student Responsibilities:

  1. Learn the requirements for your degree, determined by your catalog year.  
  2. Become familiar with the University and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences policies and procedures.
  3. Select courses that compliment your interests and career plans.
  4. Check your courses on Interactive on a regular basis to track the progress of your degree by going to: https://sec.was.asu.edu/intsite/Main

    • Log into ASU Interactive
    • Click on "Request/View your Degree Audit (DARS)
    • Have your Catalogue Year and Major ready

Being Prepared for an Advising Appointment:

  1. Print and Review your DARS (Degree Audit Report) prior to your appointment.
  2. Let the advisor know of any AIS 194/294/394/494 Omnibus courses that need to be moved out of your elective credits to your emphasis area.
  3. Make a tentative class schedule if you plan to discuss registration. Find the times and locations of the courses that you would like to take.
  4. If you schedule an appointment, please keep it and be on time, or call to cancel and reschedule.

Advisor Responsibilities:

  1. Clarify requirements, policies, and procedures.
  2. Evaluate transcripts to show how credits apply toward degree requirements.
  3. Help track progress toward graduation.
