Student Organizations

Student organizations serve as a vital function in engaging students in meaningful group projects, connecting with national organizations, providing community services, and meeting other students.  The American Indian Council (AIC) is one of six student coalitions under the Multicultural Student Services.  The six coalitions assist with the retention of ethnic, minority, and underrepresented students at ASU by providing opportunities for students to engage in cultural activities and academic programs. They also educate the University about the many cultures that make up the ASU campus.

AIC serves as an “umbrella” organization for all American Indian student organizations. AIC monitors, networks, promotes, advocates, encourages leadership, and serves as a financial resource for American Indian student organizations. AIC is comprised of an executive board and one representative from each of the student organization. Some of the events coordinated by and partially or fully funded by AIC include Native American Culture Week, Feast-n-Fest, Native American Day, ASU PowWow, Ms. Indian ASU Pageant and the NARD Parade float.
