As a Sudanese journalist, Professor Gallab has worked for Arabic newspapers in the Sudan, Lebanon, and England. He has been active in various journalists' associations. He has served previous Sudanese governments as Information Counselor in London; Press Advisor to the Prime Minister, and Director General of Information. He is member of the board and current editor of Sudan Studies Association Newsletter. His major research areas include current Islamists movements in Africa and Middle East. |
