The African-American Mosaic - A Library of congress resource guide for the study of black history and culture.

Afrigeneas - Based at Mississippi State, Afrigeneas is a genealogical research site for African ancestry with over 30 links specific to African American genealogy, including the Freedman's Bureau Records, the National Archives & Records Administration Archival Information Locator, and emancipation papers.

Amistad Research Center - Located on the Tulane University campus, "while the focus is national, the holdings are international in scope. Researchers who use these resources find information about social, economic, and political hisotry that leads to new interpretations of history."

Anacostia Museum and Center for African American History and Culture - The online site of the southeast Washington museum dedicated to the 'preservation and interpretation of people of African descent and heritage living in the Americas.'

Black Film Center/Archive - Supported by the Indiana University Department of Afro-American Studies, this site contains digitized early film clips and historical information on black filmmakers.

Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture - The site of the Schomberg Center, "a national research library devoted to collecting, preserving and providing access to resources documenting the experiences of peoples of African descent throughout the world."

Our Shared History: Celebrating African American History and Culture - The national Parks Service site dedicated to African American heritage. Includes tours of the historic South and research the Underground Railroad.
