Kunming

Gateway to the Silk Road of antiquity, the city of Kunming and ASU are working together to develop strong academic ties.  ASU’s partner institution in China, Yunnan University in Kunming, is developing a new Master's degree in American Studies as a result of the partnership between the two universities.

ASU faculty have applied for and have received funding from the NSF Office of International Collaboration on Science and Technology to organize a workshop between the United States and China on neural interface technologies.  The workshop will be organized so that an equal number of top experts from the two countries will be invited to meet and discuss the current state of the arts and the feasibiity of future collaboration between the two countries. ASU will be a sponsor of the workshop.
