Domestic Partner Benefits
Although domestic partner health care benefits are not offered by ASU, the University Provost Office
does administer two programs for an employee and their same or opposite sex domestic partner and eligible dependents:
• In-State Tuition Reduction Program
• Retention Subsidy Program that supplements an employee's salary for the purchase of health insurance.

ASU Parental Leave Policy
ASU announced a new parental leave policy, effective October 16, 2006. Modeled after similar programs at the University
of Michigan, Ohio State University, Stanford University, and other research institutions, this new policy recognizes the
central importance of balancing careers, childbirth, and family life for ASU faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and
graduate students.
