Employees celebrate ASU pride through U Devils group
ASU employees who are members of the Alumni Association can celebrate their Sun Devil pride all year long by participating in the association’s U Devils group.

The ASU Alumni Association formed U Devils last year to recognize and reward university employees who are members of the association. The group is open to all employees, regardless of whether or not they attended ASU. Since the group’s inception, there has been a 70 percent increase in the number of employees who have become members.

The U Devils were treated to a month filled with appreciation events in April, including an after-work mixer on the Tempe campus, mini-mixers at the other three campuses, complimentary tickets to an ASU baseball home game, an “Escape the Madness” picnic and a grand prize drawing that featured a two-night stay at the Westin San Diego, among other valuable prizes.

The connection and fun continues for U Devils members throughout the year. Members receive monthly e-news updates, can participate in contests for free tickets to campus events, and have attended events such as Homecoming, basketball games and shows at ASU Gammage as a group.

Other benefits for U Devils who want to spread Sun Devil spirit include incentives offered to members who recruit their co-workers into the Alumni Association fold. U Devils members who recruit two new employees as Alumni Association members receive their choice of an exclusive U Devils polo shirt or a festive maroon-and-gold umbrella.

To join the Alumni Association at the special employee rate ($25 annual/$300 life) and participate in the U Devils events, visit the Alumni Association’s membership page. Employees may use payroll deduction to pay for their life membership; the membership fee will be deducted from their pay over the course of one year.
