Life
on a grand scale
Living collections exhibit features home-grown reptiles
There’s a whole lot of living going
on in the A Wing of the Life Sciences Center on the Tempe campus.
Residents of the Living Collections exhibit crawl, writhe and
wiggle their way through the day, with researchers and visitors
viewing their everyday activities. The exhibit features snakes
and lizards indigenous to Arizona, including an entire wing
devoted to the 18 sub-species of rattlesnakes found in Arizona.
The building also features a preserved natural habitat for
birds, rodents, and ducks.
The collection is open for public viewing Monday through Friday from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Life Sciences Center is located at Tyler Mall and
Palm Walk. For more information on the collection, call (480) 965-3396.
