CLASS
GIFT
Each year, the reunion classes have an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy through a class gift. Your Class Ambassadors have chosen the Sun Devil Field House as the beneficiary of your class gift.
On January 1, 1987 the Sun Devils defeated Michigan
to win the coveted Rose Bowl. Your class gift will
help build champions on and off the fields of play
by providing financial support to construct the Sun
Devil Field House, a facility that will help ASU
athletics regain its competitive stature not only
within the Pac-10 but nationally.
The Sun Devil Field House, a 130,000
square foot facility, consisting of a 90 yard and
a 70 yard field, will provide the ability for multiple
ASU athletics programs to utilize climate controlled
training and practice space amongst other state-of-the-art
training and competition venues. This optimal work-out
environment will also provide consistent in-season
practice schedules, maximize off season workouts
and improve opportunities for hosting summer camps
to show-case national and local high school talent.
A message from Lisa Love, Vice President for University
Athletics
Dear Class of 1987,
ASU Athletics has reached a
decisive moment. The time has come to advance
the effort. The building
of the Sun Devil Field House shows ASU’s
commitment to championship performance, academic
excellence and competitive integrity.
ASU student-athletes compete
at the highest levels, while maintaining an academic
record among the
nation’s best. In some cases, our students
and coaches succeed despite the limitations of
our athletic facilities. We do more with less,
to the tune of being one of the top 20 Division
I athletic programs in the country.
It’s time for the next
step.
Our vision is of a university that
achieves and sustains national championship success
and Rose
Bowl victories. Your class gift is part of the
Sun Devil Legacy that recognizes
champions do not rest; they invest.
Thank you for your support of Sun Devil athletics.
Together, we will build on the Sun Devil Legacy.

CLASS AMBASSADORS
Class ambassadors are an essential part of the reunion planning.
They plan, they contact classmates, they host reunion activities
such as the social and the reunion tent at the block party and they
help decide what the class gift will be. Thanks to our class ambassadors
for helping to make the class of 87 a great reunion.

“This is a great opportunity for the Class of
1987 to come together and rekindle great memories of our time together
at ASU and wonder and laugh about where the past 20 years have gone. It
will also give us a chance to catch up on what we've been doing with our
lives and share events since we joined the working world.”

"Looking forward to seeing everyone
back on campus and reliving the glory days of the 80's at ASU (minus
the wayfarers and topsiders). If you haven't been back to campus since
1987, you'll be amazed so I hope you'll take advantage of all the weekends
reunions activities. It's Sun Devil Time, Go Devils!"

"With Homecoming this fall marking 20 years for the
class of 1987, I think that it is important for people to get in touch
with their Sun Devil roots and come back to Tempe for a great party. The
ASU experience was life changing for many of us. Rula Bula is no Dash Inn,
but we will make the most of it. Come out and reconnect with old friends
and your Alma Mater." |
