If you are interested in assisting with planning your Golden Reunion, then please participate on our Steering Committee! You do not have to be located in Arizona to help out – there are many ways you can help us from the comfort of your home! To join the committee, please contact Nicole at Nicole.AlmondTucker@asu.edu or 480-965-5357. We also would like to know which clubs and organizations you were involved in as a student. The reunion will begin on Wednesday, May 7 with registration at Old Main followed by the Reunion Affiliation Breakfast with ASUAA President and Board of Directors. This Reunion Breakfast will feature affiliate clubs and organizations that were present during the time you attended ASU. Enjoy a morning of catching-up over the past 50 years and reconnecting with your former classmates. This event is not one to be missed! Next, enjoy a docent-guided tour of the ASU Art Museum. Then, “Stroll Down Memory Lane” at lunch inside the Art Museum - a truly unique setting. Next, let's go to Mars and to the moon and tour the Mars Space Center, a cutting-edge space exploration facility. And finally, round out the day by touring world-renowned Gammage Auditorium followed by an afternoon reception.
On Thursday, May 8, your day begins with Breakfast on Frank Kush Field at Sun Devil Stadium. Next, the Class of 1958 will participate in the Spring 2008 Commencement ceremonies at nearby Wells Fargo Arena by leading the procession in their golden ceremonial robes. After commencement, enjoy lunch at the Hobb’s Stadium Club on the 5th Floor of the ICA Building. Following lunch is a guided tour of the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility (the Ed & Nadine Carson Student-Athlete Center). See where the athletes train, rehabilitate and study in this state-of-the-art facility. Next, partake in an optional excursion to Decision Theater located in the ASU Brickyard complex off of Mill Avenue.
We've saved the best for last: topping off the evening is your Golden Reunion Dinner and the Golden Circle Induction ceremony. Enjoy the special camaraderie with your classmates for dinner in historic Old Main. Bring your favorite Sun Devil memory to share. In this candle-lit ceremony you are welcomed into the Golden Circle that is shared by those who graduated before you. The Golden Circle Induction Ceremony commemorates your 50th anniversary and is truly the capstone of your Golden Reunion festivities.
Golden reunion alums may also extend their visit to campus into Friday and Saturday (May 9-10) by participating in a variety of school, college and affinity group convocations or attending men’s baseball or women’s softball games at your leisure.
