Native American Alumni Chapter (NAAC)
Purpose:
To provide an opportunity for Native American graduates of Arizona State University to maintain a rewarding and continuing relationship with the ASU Alumni Association and the University.
Goals:
Since 1988, NAAC has directed its goals towards:
- Improving communication links between ASU and tribal governments, education committees, and high schools.
- Improving coordination between the ideals, beliefs, and thoughts of the University and of Native Americans.
- Increasing opportunities of a college education for Native Americans.
NAAC is dedicated and committed to providing activities that foster education and retention of students by offering mentor programs, scholarships, awards/recognition programs, socials and orientations.
Many of our graduates are either pursuing advance degrees or working professions both on and off tribal communities. The continual pursuit of achievement by our fellow alumni reflects a positive outlook for younger generations.
