The Arizona State University Alumni El Diablito Club from the Yuma area hosted the second annual Somerton Tamale Festival on Saturday, December 13th. The event brought out over 8000 people. There were 38 vendors with an estimated 20,000 plus tamales to be enjoyed at the festival. To read more, click here.

On September 2nd, ASU President Michael Crow met with members of the ASU Alumni El Diablito Club in Yuma for a lunch to discuss the current status of the University and important outreach efforts to students across the state of Arizona. President Crow and Dr. Christine Wilkinson congratulated El Diablito on the success of their annual Tamale Festival that raises funds to support the Club’s scholarship program. This year’s Tamale Festival will be held on December 19th.
