      Then this is the group for you! We're establishing a new Entertainment Devils group.

      With an overall community theme to the organization, Entertainment Devils will create various networking and communication channels for Sun Devil alumni and students (currently or aspiring to be) involved in the entertainment industry, and create a pipeline to assist undergraduates and recent alumni to gain entry/advancement within the industry. From initial small mixers to larger scale events, an online presence featuring group and event information, database/contacts, job postings, etc., and the development of undergraduate educational opportunities.

      The goal of Entertainment Devils is to:

      •Serve as a networking vehicle for both Arizona State University alumni in the field of entertainment and undergraduates looking for careers in entertainment

      •Provide valuable educational and professional opportunities for career advancement, execution and collaboration on related projects, and other entertainment-based initiatives

      •Support ASU initiatives and undergraduate education in the Film/Theater/Media Studies disciplines

      •Positively showcase or incorporate ASU into entertainment efforts (scripts, filming, interns, etc.)

    • Components

      The cornerstone of any networking group in-person gathering and exchange of information. Entertainment Devils will host regular mixer meetings to network, create synergies, and develop its direction beginning Winter 2008.
      Entertainment Devils will create a url that features event updates and calendar information, group and member news/notes, registration and database functions, job postings, send-to-a-friend, and more. An email list will also be created to communicate with members on upcoming events, opportunities, needs, etc.
      In 2008, Entertainment Devils will initiate formal speaking seminars featuring influential and successful ASU Alumni from a variety of fields including televsion, theater, music, marketing, talent, etc. These seminars will ultimately be conducted in Los Angeles for entertainment alumni, and also as a curriculum/career seminar on campus in Tempe. Working with the faculty at ASU, the development of these speaking seminars will significantly benefit the undergraduates by providing education, real-world insight, and suggestions for those students planning to make entertainment a career choice.
