ASU CARES Day
We are very proud of our chapter's success in supporting the Atlanta Community Food Bank during March Madness. The event had significant alumni attendance as well as family and friends of ASU and our chapter collected approximately 750 pounds of food to help the Atlanta community during what has proved to be a very difficult year. We hope to continue to support valuable community charities on a regular basis and share more great ASU memories with alumni here in Georgia. Thank you so much for your support.

asu tennis match image
On Saturday, January 31st the ASU Women’s Tennis Team came to Atlanta to play in a regional tournament at Georgia Tech.  The match was awesome!  The young ladies on the team were nothing less than stellar!  They put on a clinic as the 21st ranked Sun Devils upset the 20th ranked Florida State Seminoles.

The GA Alumni and some ASU tennis family members cheer on the woman's team.  The team was very appreciative and said that it helped them to a 4-0 upset victory on Saturday.  About 15 total ASU Alumni and family attended the match, more fan support than any of their competitors.

The Georgia Chapter met with the team and Coach Sheila McInerney who has been a staple for the Woman's Tennis team for more than 20 years.  The alumni interacted with the players and the players played with some of the kids of the alumni after the match.  We had a great time talking with the parents of ASU Freshman tennis star Sianna Simmons who won her match on Saturday in exciting fashion.  Sianna or as us fans would call her "C" is a native of Atlanta, GA.  We look forward to having C's mom and dad join us at a few events in the future as we will all cheer for the Maroon and Gold!

 Commentary about the match.
