Welcome to the American Indian Student Support Services |

| The American Indian Student Support Services is now under the Executive Vice President and Office fo the Provost. At Tempe, we are located on the third floor of Discovery Hall (former Agriculture Building). Come see our new location and visit the various services AISSS has to offer.
AISSS office will be at all the other three campuses and more information will be forthcoming on their exact locations.
We continue to provide tutoring, computer access, printing/copying services, academic/personal advising, graduate support, and support activities. |
The
renamed American Indian Student Support Services
(formerly American Indian Institute) aims to serve all
American Indian students at all campuses needing and seeking support to
become academically and personally successful at Arizona
State University. The AISSS is committed to assisting
American Indian students in the pursuit of their
academic success through coordinated recruitment and
retention efforts. The program strives to improve the
academic and cultural diversity of Arizona State
University and provides support for American Indian
students to ensure a quality education experience.

Retention
The primary aim of AISSS is to
increase the retention and graduation rates of American
Indian students, increase individual academic
achievement levels, empower students to be resourceful,
assist students to be resilient when challenged by
academic pressure, provide positive social/cultural
experiences and to sustain the administrative function
of AISSS. In this effort, AISSS provides students a
number of support services including a computer lab,
tutorial services, study area, advising/referral
service, workshops, graduate opportunities, and access
to information about scholarship/internships. |

Recruitment:
The AISSS engages in some recruitment activities through American Indian education conferences, career fairs, high school visits upon request, and on-campus tours.
