AFFILIATE DATABASE AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
THE ENTERPRISE HUB

WHAT IS "AFFILIATE"?
The Affiliate Management System is designed to collect and update name, address, and other demographic information about any person or organization doing business with ASU. The System stores this information in the Affiliate database. ASU production systems and departmental applications may interface with the database to update and/or obtain this data.

WHO ARE AFFILIATES?

Affiliates are persons and organizations doing business with ASU. Current Affiliates are:
  • Students
  • Employees (subclassified as: Adjunct Faculty, Administrative Staff, Faculty, Graduate, Multi-Year, Hourly Graduate, Acad Professional, Classified Staff, Undergraduate or Service Professional)
  • Courtesy Students (American English and Cultural Program Participants)
  • Courtesy Affiliates (Persons who have a relationship with ASU and request a service such as a computer account)
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AFFILIATE?
The Affiliate database is a central collection point for information from databases across the enterprise. Affiliate interfaces with the Student Information System, the Human Resources System, the ASURITE authorization system, the electronic directories, and the Sun Card database. Affiliate has expanded capabilities to enter demographic information such as foreign names and addresses, email addresses, pager and cellular phones, and multiple ethnicities. The data is easily formatted in an accessible Sybase database.

WHAT IS THE AFFILIATE ID?
Each person or organization is referred to as an Affiliate and is sequentially assigned an Affiliate ID. The Affiliate ID is a unique number that never changes. The Affiliate ID appears on the front of the Sun Card and is used as the identifying number in several databases including the Data Warehouse.

WHAT INFORMATION IS CONTAINED IN THE AFFILIATE DATABASE?

The Affiliate database contains the following information about Affiliates:
  • Name and former names
  • ASU ID and former ASU IDs
  • Affiliate ID
  • Social Security Number
  • ASURITE ID
  • Addresses and former addresses
  • Phone numbers, fax numbers, pager numbers, etc.
