Homestay
AECP homestays are provided through OvECS Ltd., a company specializing in finding host families for international students. Each family is carefully screened and selected. Families vary; some families are single parents with children and some are older couples with no children. Students receive breakfast and dinner daily and have their own bedrooms. Transportation to school and home must be arranged by the student. Some students take the bus, ride bicycles or ride with host family members, if possible. A local OvECS area coordinator will assist you in your homestay experience throughout your stay. The cost is $660 for four weeks and payment is made directly to the host family. A one-time placement fee of $200 is required. OvECS must receive an application and placement fee one month before arrival. You can print an application and obtain other information from their Web site or contact them for an application and additional information.
