MASTER TEACHERS
All of the AECP teachers have graduate degrees in Teaching English
as a Second Language or a related field. They also have years of
classroom experience in the United States and abroad.
STUDENT ADVISOR
A full-time student advisor is available to help you with orientation,
immigration counseling, college and university information and ASU
applications.
TOEFL and
TOEIC
AECP offers both the institutional TOEFL and the TOEIC exam five
times per year. Students must register for the TOEIC and TEOFL in person with a photo id.
PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION
Students attend core classes designed
to improve speaking, listening, reading and writing 18 class hours
per week. For an additional
three
hours per week, students select from among several focused study
classes: TOEFL, structure, pronunciation, and computer literacy. The average student/faculty ratio is 15/1. A placement test
is given to new students to determine the level at which they will
begin their studies.
CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
AECP offers four special certificate options for students (pdf files): Business English Certificate, Academic English Certificate, American Studies Certificate, and English Communication Certificate.
The AECP
curriculum is divided into six levels, from basic to advanced.
Basic students have little or no knowledge of English. Advanced
students are usually ready for university courses taught in English.
