is a learning program for
children and adolescents (7 to 16 years) who are experiencing excessive
fear and anxiety.
In our program, children learn to face their fears.
They learn effective ways to manage their worries, the physical symptoms
associated with anxiety, and avoidance behaviors. Each child is first evaluated to determine the
precise nature of his or her situation and to ensure appropriateness for
participation in our program. Children whose main problem is determined
to be related to anxiety or fear are eligible to participate. There is
no charge for the evaluation or for participation in our program.
is conducted under the auspices of
Arizona State University and under the direction of Dr. Armando A. Piņa.
