USI 501–01: Career Services Eligibility

To provide services to individuals seeking career information and employment and to encourage the use of these services

Eligibility

[horizontal rule]

The following individuals qualify for services:

  1. ASU students at any level seeking career planning or employment information
  2. ASU faculty and staff members and their dependents

    and

  3. ASU alumni who pay a $25 alumni fee to the campus career center are eligible to schedule up to three career advising appointments.


  4. Note: All ASU alumni are eligible for registration with the online system, drop-in advising, and participation in any career event. ASU alumni who are current dues-paying members of the ASU Alumni Association and are more than one year past their last ASU attendance are eligible to schedule up to three appointments with a career advisor without paying the $25 alumni fee. ASU alumni who are within 12 months of their last ASU attendance are eligible to schedule an unlimited number of free career advising appointments.

All ASU students and alumni must be registered with Sun Devil CareerLink to receive face-to-face career services (e.g. drop-in advising and one-on-one advising appointments). This excludes advising occurring during career fairs.

Note: Eligibility requirements for individuals wishing to take part in on-campus recruiting are detailed in USI 501–03, “Eligibility for On-Campus Recruiting.”

Services are provided to all eligible clients.

Exceptions

[horizontal rule]

The following are not eligible to use services:

  1. disruptive or uncooperative individuals, or those identified by the ASU Police Department (ASU PD) as:

    1. having restricted access to campus

      or

    2. being prohibited access to campus

    or

  1. individuals who have abused their privileges and have been notified that the privilege is no longer available to them.
