To respond to the death of a student effectively and sensitively

Policy

The death of a student is a serious and sensitive matter. The Office of the Dean of Students is committed to discreet handling of the responsibilities entailed in responding to the death of a student, and to cooperating with other affected university offices. Staff coordinate notification of appropriate university units (e.g., Residential Life, Student Media) as well as assist the student’s family as needed.
