Amplification is allowed 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday in the areas of Hayden Lawn (Zone 6), Student Services Lawn (Zone 30), and Zone 3A north of the Memorial Union. Bands with full drum kits and electronic instruments are only allowed Tuesday and Wednesday, are limited to one of the three amplified areas per day, and need prior approval from the Event and Meeting Services office within the Memorial Union. Amplification may not exceed 85 decibels at 30 feet Tuesday and Wednesday 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Amplification may not exceed 70 decibels at 30 feet Monday, Thursday, Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., all evenings, and all day Saturday. Amplification is not allowed Sundays. Sound on Hayden Lawn and Zone 3A must face south and face east on Student Services Lawn. Student Organizations are allowed one reservation in one of the amplifications zones per month.
