Money lost during a vending machine transaction on campus is refunded at the Memorial Union (MU) Information Desk. A current photo ID is required. The maximum refund amount is for a one-item purchase up to $3.00.

Vending machines include those that dispense photocopies, snacks, soft drinks, and water. The MU does not issue refunds for telephone calling cards, change, pay phones, restroom sundries, photo booth pictures, and stamps; the MU Information Desk will direct individuals to the proper contacts for these refunds.

Refunds are given only on a “per incident” basis. No cumulative refunds are paid out. Refunds are given only to individuals who present photo identification. The MU records the name and ASU I.D. number or driver’s license number of the person requesting the refund.
