Psychiatric services are available for enrolled ASU students at NP Healthcare—Downtown Phoenix and through referrals to providers in the surrounding community. Services may include (1) consultation for ASU students with psychiatric needs, and (2) appointments with a psychiatrist (i.e., assessment, psychopharmacologic stabilization, medication management, and referral).

Hospitalization

A referral to psychiatric services is not a required step in hospitalizing students.

See the ASU Counseling Services’ Web pages for detailed information on services provided at ASU Counseling Services. For information about counseling and other health services at the Downtown Phoenix campus, see the NP Healthcare Web site.
