SSM 304–12: Student Employee Grievances
To allow recourse for university student employees who have employment-related complaints or grievances
Financial Aid and Scholarship Services/Student Employment
University student employees who have employment-related complaints or grievances may bring such matters to the attention of their supervisors. Supervisors should make reasonable efforts to respond to or resolve the grievances.
If students are not satisfied with the resolution from their immediate supervisors, they may discuss their problems with individual department hiring officials. Hiring officials will render written decisions within seven days after receipt of the specific grievances. Their decisions are final.
Employment grievances based on discrimination or sexual harassment must be submitted to the Office of Equity and Inclusion, Human Resources.
