Policy
![[horizontal rule]](ssmhr.gif)
Participants in a student employment program who wish to
continue working for the same employer from fall to spring, spring
to summer, or summer to fall, must notify their
supervisors.
If the employers wish to continue the employment of specific
students from fall to spring, spring to summer, or
summer to fall, re-advertisement of those jobs is not
necessary.
For work-study employment, the department must prepare and
submit appropriate paperwork. Student Employment will notify
employers of the time frame in which continuation requests should
be submitted.

Procedure
![[horizontal rule]](ssmhr.gif)
- For students employed through the Federal Work-Study Program
(FWSP):
- departments must fax a signed screen-print of the PeopleSoft Job Data/Work Location information to Student Employment if continuing their student for the next academic year or for the summer term;
- Student Employment Office staff will determine eligibility and
award FWSP for the next employment/financial aid period.
- For students employed through the hourly program:
- No continuation request is necessary for students employed through the hourly program because a student’s pay line is active in PeopleSoft until terminated.
