To assist students eligible under the Veterans Educational Assistance Act for Education with tuition, and the timely purchase of books, materials, and supplies required for courses through a deferred payment plan while attending school

To be eligible for deferred payment of tuition and/or purchases at the ASU Bookstore, the student must:

Eligible students may defer payment for tuition, books, materials, and supplies required for courses in any semester for which they are enrolled. Materials available at the ASU Bookstore may be charged.
Books, materials, and supplies purchases must be made no sooner than two weeks before and no later than four weeks after the semester begins to qualify for deferred payment.
Maximum Allowable Amount
The student may charge required books, materials, and supplies provided the cost of materials and supplies does not exceed $100.
Returning Items
The student must provide receipts when returning ASU Bookstore items. Books may be sold back to the bookstore at prescribed rates.
Due DatesD
The repayment is deferred according to the following schedule, corresponding to the semester or session in which payment was deferred. Usually, due dates remain the same from year to year. However, if the due date falls on a weekend, it will be extended to the following Monday.

Students who do not repay the deferred amounts by the applicable due date will have a 30-day grace period before late fees are assessed. Students must begin payment to avoid submission of the account to collections. Also, students cannot register for any future semesters until the indebtedness is cleared.
No interest is charged during the period of deferred payment.
