SSM 205–02 Table

The student obtains the appeal instructions at the Residency Classification Section at the Tempe campus; files a written, notarized request for appeal; and signs the FERPA Waiver Form.

The Residency Classification Section schedules an appeal hearing and notifies the student.

The Residency Classification Appeals Board hears the case, makes a decision, and announces the decision to the student and all others attending the hearing.

The Residency Classification Section:

1. updates the student’s residency status in OASIS if residency is granted

   and

2. notifies the appropriate university offices to process a tuition refund for the semester in which the student is currently enrolled

   or

3. sends a copy of the decision to the student via certified mail if residency is denied.
