SSM 205–01 Table

The student obtains the residency classification guidelines and a Petition for Change of Residency from the Residency Classification Section. He or she completes and returns the petition, along with appropriate supporting documentation, to the Residency Classification Section before the published deadline for reclassification.

The Residency Classification Section:

  1. advises the student regarding the specific documentation necessary
  2. reviews the petition and documentation and makes a decision regarding the appropriate residency status, when the documentation is complete
  3. notifies the student of the decision by mail, if residency is denied

    or

  4. updates the student’s residency status in PeopleSoft and notifies the student of the decision by mail if residency is granted.
