SSM 202–04: Undergraduate Transfer Credit Evaluations

Purpose

To evaluate and determine acceptance of transfer credit earned by an undergraduate student at colleges and universities previously attended

Policy

Undergraduate credit will be awarded for traditional course work successfully completed at regionally accredited institutions of higher learning as approved by ASU and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Procedure

The student orders transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities to be mailed directly to:

Undergraduate Admissions
Arizona State University
PO Box 870112
Tempe, AZ 85287-0112

The University Registrar’s Office or Records & Registration staff:

1. evaluate transcripts according to current guidelines
2. adjust the student’s academic record to reflect additional credit accepted

   and

3. provide the student’s advising college with transfer information.
