SSM 1201–03: Employee Work-Related Injuries

Purpose

To provide initial and short-term follow-up care for employees who suffer from a work-related injury or illness

Policy

ASU Health Services (ASUHS) will provide short-term urgent care to employees who become ill or injured while on the job. The ASUHS will refer employees to a local hospital after stabilization if emergency care is required. ASUHS will refer employee-patients who require follow-up care to their private physician, outside clinic, or other Worker’s Compensation-designated provider.
