SPP 404–06 Table

Nonexempt Staff

A nonexempt employee working a specific or extraordinary event in his or her normal department and classification will be compensated in accordance with the overtime policy (SPP 404–04). If the employee works a specific or extraordinary event on a holiday, compensation will be two times the regular base rate.

A nonexempt employee working for a specific or extraordinary event in his or her normal classification but a different department will be compensated in accordance with the overtime policy (SPP 404–04). If the employee works a specific or extraordinary event on a holiday, compensation will be two times the regular base rate.

A nonexempt employee working a specific or extraordinary event in a different classification will receive 1 to 1.5 times the classification range minimum. If the employee works a specific or extraordinary event on a holiday, compensation will be two times the classification range minimum.

Exempt Staff

An exempt employee working a specific event in his or her normal department and classification is not eligible for additional compensation. Exempt employees are not eligible for additional compensation for extraordinary events, unless preapproved. The same guidelines apply for exempt employees working in the same classification but different departments.

An exempt employee working a specific or extraordinary event in a different classification is eligible for 1 to 1.5 times the classification range minimum. If the employee works a specific or extraordinary event on a holiday, compensation will be two times the classification range minimum.
