Classified employees
![]()
Classified employees will have their salaries established at a rate within the minimum and maximum of the job’s market grade. Individuals whose qualifications exceed the minimum qualifications for the job may be paid at a rate above the market grade minimum consistent with the definition of competitive zone based on qualifications and internal impact. Rates of pay above the 75th percentile are subject to approval by the appropriate vice president/provost or designee.
